Hi, my name is Gillian Dao (my friends simply call me G!). I’m a Vietnamese-born, Gold Coast-based graphic designer with background in Creative Industries & Marketing. I started “Untwine Design” after 5 years being in-house graphic designer for a corporate firm specialising in property marketing.

I wore many hats during my professional career before I found my passion in graphic design and self-taught myself. However I still had an inch to get an official degree so I decided to study at Shillington Education in 2023, which helps broadening my specialty/design interests beyond property marketing. Now I am happy to say that I am thriving as a freelance/self-employed graphic designer and creative all-rounder.

I am a strong believer and recently I just discovered that my initial “GD” is the same as “Graphic Design” so it’s definitely a sign of the universe! 😆

I am passionate about multiple fields where art, creative design and communication collide. As a designer, I thrive in meaningful human-centred projects and fully embrace thoughtful visual communication through a strong sense of authenticity and storytelling.

When I am not designing, you might catch me wandering through exhibition/museum/gallery, being a foodie & a cinephilia, or walking/cuddling my absolutely adorable twin dogs.
